After School Activities
We are excited to announce changes to the after school sports and activity program. St. Margaret’s believes that all students benefit from participation in team sports as well as physical activities. We are committed to the physical well being of all our students and encourage them to participate in team sports to develop healthy habits which will continue throughout their lives.
St. Margaret’s has instituted the following changes this year. Each student will fulfill the yearly physical education requirement through participation in a minimum of one trimester of participation on a team sport such as Varsity, Junior Varsity or club sport that meets four times weekly, including Dance Repertoire and Dance Fitness. The remaining two trimesters, students must either play a sport, dance, or participate in at least two days per week of a physical activity.
In order to provide time for team development, we have also rearranged the schedule so that teams can practice at least two hours each day including one and a half hours on Fridays.
