Mrs. Rixey teaches science at SMS, including ESL Sscience and Environmental Science. Her enthusiasm for the outdoors translates to the classroom, making her lessons interactive and relevant to our own river environment. She also coaches the cross-country team in the fall.

She lives off campus with her husband, Frank, and she has four children, including Margaret (SMS Class of '04).
