Become a member of our Parent Council
St. Margaret's Parent Council supports the school through volunteering and fundraising initiatives, including the Rubber Duck Derby, the Silent and/or Live Auction, Exam Care Packages, and the sale of St. Margaret's merchandise. The money raised is put back into the community and impacts the day-to-day experience of St. Margaret's students and faculty. If you would like to join the Parent Council or have questions about membership, contact Parent Council Liaison, Joycelyn Blizzard or Parent Council President, Kathy Ogg.
Attend or Volunteer at an Event
Cheering on the Scotties is a great way to show support for St. Margaret's and for your daughter. Be sure to check our athletic calendar for games close to you.
Host a Local Gathering
Hosting a local gathering of St. Margaret's alumnae, parents, prospective families, and friends, is a great way to become better acquainted with the SMS community, network with old friends and make new ones. Contact the Development Team
today to host an event and we will help get the ball rolling.
Become a Sponsor for a Student's Independent Study Project
Sponsors make independent study a rich learning experience for St. Margaret's seniors and help them perform work that is relevant in today's world. Find out more about our ISPs and contact us if you have ideas about how you might be involved with preparing a student to succeed in the future.
Stay Up to Date
The best way to get involved is to know what's happening on campus. Make sure to read our weekly e-newsletter, CrossCurrents, every Thursday. If you are not receiving this helpful e-mail and would like to, please contact Director of Communication and Marketing, Patricia Brincefield. Another great way to stay connected is through social media. St. Margaret's Facebook and Instagram accounts are refreshed daily with new photos and content while game updates and athletic news are frequently posted to Twitter. And last but not least, please be sure to have open and regular communication with your daughter's adviser.
