Exciting changes in store for 2007-2008

Summer has proven to be a fruitful and productive season at St. Margaret’s School. Students will return to some significant changes to our campus and programs.

With grass having recently been laid and equipment ordered, the new athletic complex is taking shape. By mid-September we will be able to practice and play on our new fields. Plan now to attend the dedication of this space during Fall Family Weekend (see River Views home page for details).

Exciting changes are in store for this year’s River Day as well. Rather than being held over the course of one day, this year students will enjoy overnight camping experiences in various locations along the Rappahannock River.

“This is always such a positive experience for our students that we wanted to extend the opportunity they have to explore the river,” said Dean of Faculty George McDowell. The overnight camping excursion will be held on September 13 and 14. For more information about locations, packing lists, and permission forms, visit the parents’ page on our website at www.sms.org/parents

Students will also notice small changes in the weekly schedule. Tuesdays and Thursdays will begin with class and will be followed by announcements and break.

This year each class will do the same.
