After the academic day ends, students spread out across the campus and around Tappahannock to begin after school activities. Students can select among physical, social, artistic, and service orientated options. Certainly there is something for everyone in this winter's after school lineup.

In addition to the three interscholastic sports - swimming, indoor track, and basketball, athletes can gear up for spring sports in preseason softball, soccer, crew or tennis. Other active options include circuit training, yoga, dance fitness, and dance repertoire, all led by professional instructors.

For those wishing to do something for others, there are community service opportunities at the public library or the local family center. Under the leadership of Mrs. Konstantinov, our artist in residence, dedicated artists are creating customized pieces of art for those living in a local senior living community.

A new option for those wanting to bolster school spirit is the spirit squad. This group of enthusiastic Scottie fans has been busy making signs and announcements to support the teams and arranging schedules so that they can create a loyal fan base at as many sporting events as possible.

Rehearsals for the winter play, Little Women, are an additional twice a week option.

Finally, those who want to try their hand at art can spend 2 days a week familiarizing themselves with a variety of art forms.
