Winter Athletics Clinics
NN Burger, EVB, and Rappahannock Times Sponsor Winter Sports Clinics at St. Margaret’s
Tappahannock (December 20, 2016) – St. Margaret’s Athletic Director Cynthia Walker ’99 announces that three new sports clinics have been added to the calendar this winter: a basketball clinic on Saturday, January 14 (10:00am-12:30pm), a swimming clinic on Saturday, January 21 (10:00am-12:30pm), and a volleyball clinic on Saturday, March 4 (10:00am-12:30pm). Each clinic is FREE OF CHARGE and open to girls in grades 6-10. Special thanks to St. Margaret’s Blue/Grey Partners for sponsoring these events: NN Burger, EVB, and Rappahannock Times.
The clinics’ structure will mirror successful events from previous seasons, offering one-on-one and group instruction with St. Margaret’s varsity coaches and student-athletes. Welcoming girls of all experience levels, the basketball, swimming, and volleyball clinics will cover fundamental exercises as well as more advanced styles and techniques. Participants will also receive a t-shirt and lunch.
To register online, visit www.sms.org/basketball, www.sms.org/swimming, or www.sms.org/volleyball.
Through these free clinics for local youth, Walker intends to continue building momentum in the interest of female sports and in the spirit of community outreach. Stay tuned for future event-related announcements.
