Clubs & Activities
In addition to taking advantage of classroom opportunities, students are encouraged to join clubs, publications, committees, and performance groups. Some organizations require an application or audition; others are open to all. Extended lunches and other windows of free time allow for meetings and practices. Students always have the option to start their own clubs with a faculty sponsor.
Art club is full of students who love art and create it during the academic day and after school.
Community Service Groups and Opportunities
At St. Margaret's, students learn how to be a contributing member of a community. In fact, more than 90% of our alumnae report that they actively contribute to some form of community service after they graduate. We offer community service opportunities as a part of afternoon activities, on the weekends, and during Minimester. One of the most recent school-wide service projects now welcomes visitors to the Town of Tappahannock. See photos of our “Peace on Earth” mural here.
Green Team is an environmental group who educates the entire school community on how to protect our environment.
