Callao Girl Wins May Honors

Brittany Nicole Walker Tappahannock (May 14, 2002) - Brittany Nicole Walker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.J. Walker of Callao, was crowned May Queen at St. Margaret's School during festivities honoring the Class of 2002.

The faculty and student body elected Brittany on the basis of her contributions to the school, which include serving on the Honor Council, in the Student Ambassador Society and as business editor of the yearbook, as well as playing varsity volleyball. She will attend Randolph Macon College next year as one of the college's Presidential Scholars.

Rachelle Slotnick, daughter of Susan Latner of Tappahannock, was chosen Maid of Honor.

The May Queen presides over the school's May Ball, which is attended by students, families, faculty and staff. The ball is one of the many special traditions that unite the St. Margaret's School community.
