FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tappahannock (November 12, 2009) Meghan Sisk ’10 of Goochland daughter of Mark and Jane Sisk signed her letter of intent to Clemson University on Nov. 12. Sisk—a five year boarding student at St. Margaret’s—will coxswain for Clemson’s Division I Rowing Program.

Sisk did not take up the sport of Crew until her junior year at St. Margaret’s. “This is a great honor and really speaks to her determination” says Varsity Crew coach Maren LaLiberty who had been recruiting Meghan to the team since she began at St. Margaret’s in the eighth grade.

Meghan is the first student to commit to a Division I rowing program from St. Margaret’s. She is also the first student in over a decade to sign a letter of intent to a Division I athletic program.
