Creative inquiry, experiential learning and the study of interdisciplinary topics are all intrinsic to Minimester. Course options are vast and content areas never disappoint, whether on- or off-campus. Think unsolved mysteries, pop culture phenomena, and Habitat for Humanity. Minimester is often talked about by alumnae and is an equally appealing topic for those who wish to travel or are looking for an enrichment opportunity.
Nestled between second and third trimester, faculty teams teach two-week courses outside core subject areas, giving students the opportunity to learn and explore during extended periods of time. Increasingly, courses are reflecting St. Margaret’s commitment to philanthropy and service, with many including a community outreach component.
However a student chooses to spend Minimester, she will find that the experience broadens her world view and ensures she has some fun along the way.
