Staying Connected to St. Margaret's School

Merry Christmas to our St. Margaret's Alumnae!

Earlier this week, friends and families of St. Margaret's got together at the Chinn House to celebrate Christmas and the Holiday Season on campus. We also had a wonderful DC Region Alumnae and Friends brunch last month. Thank you to all who joined us at Natasha Kollaros Laster's '93 home in Springfield last month. It was great to renew connections with friends of St. Margaret's and we loved reconnecting with all things SMS. A special thank you to Natasha for hosting us! Enjoy a few pictures of the merrymaking from both below!

St. Margaret's was blessed to have the Rt. Rev. Shannon S. Johnston, XIII Bishop of Virginia join us on campus last week. The School was thrilled to have Bishop Johnston share a homily with the girls. Here he is photographed in the Bishop's Chair, donated to St. Margaret's by the family of Elizabeth Fitzgerald 'Fitzie' Wallace '57 more than 60 years ago.

Finally, after tremendous feedback last year, St. Margaret's so graciously sent 2018 wall calendars again this year. If you did not receive one, please contact to Brittany Jenkins in the Development Office at bjenkins@sms.org to receive your copy.

Many blessings to you and your family during this Christmas Season!

Sincerely,

Mary Anne Townsend Hopkins '69, P '97 '03
Alumnae Association President 2017-2019

Young Alumnae Day | January 3

All alumnae who graduated between 2012-2017, are invited to Young Alumnae Day on Campus, Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Each year, we look forward to welcoming our young alumnae back to campus so they have an opportunity to connect with classmates, teachers and old friends. Every year our current students look forward to this opportunity to hear from young alumnae about life after St. Margaret's, including the college experience. RSVP to Brittany Jenkins by Dec. 20

Annual Meeting | February 24

Save the Date: Saturday, February 24, 2018, the Alumnae Association will host the annual meeting and luncheon at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond. We hope alumnae will be able to join us for a School update, Alumnae Association business, and of course an opportunity to connect with classmates and friends. Formal invitation to follow.

Alumnae Weekend 2018

Mark your calendars for St. Margaret's Alumnae Weekend is June 8-10 and we hope you will be able to join in the fun on campus! We are especially excited to welcome back classes ending in '3 or '8s but encourage all alumnae to come back to campus and catch up with sisters.
