Staying Connected to St. Margaret's School

Greetings fellow Alumnae!

October proved to be a busy month for St. Margaret's. Thank you to the alumnae volunteers, runners, and walkers who joined in the fun over Fall Family Weekend. We loved seeing alumnae of all ages back on campus to support the Fortson 5k. We had more than 120 participants at the event.

A record number of Golden Thistle alumnae attended the luncheon at Westminster Canterbury in Richmond in October. This event is always a fun opportunity to connect with each other and hear updates on the school. We were especially excited to welcome the Class of 1968 as our our newest Golden Thistle Society members!

Other exciting activities in October included two Open House events on campus for prospective students and their families, and we hosted a tour where 14 international consultants spent the afternoon with faculty, staff, and students. SMS also welcomed six Heads of Schools from the Virginia, D.C, and Maryland areas to help boost student recruitment.

Finally, thanks to our class agents and everyone who submitted class notes. We can't wait to share the news with everyone in a new version of the Bridge later in January 2018.

Sincerely,

Mary Anne Townsend Hopkins '69, P '97 '03
Alumnae Association President 2017-2019
