August 2020 | Staying Connected

Dear St. Margaret's School Alumnae,

You and your families have been in our thoughts, and we hope you are doing well and in good health.
At St. Margaret's, we are starting to welcome students back to campus and have shared our campus re-opening plans for our centennial year to ensure a safe return with hybrid learning options. As we kick off the new school year, we are excited to welcome new team members to the St. Margaret's faculty and staff. You can meet everyone on our St. Margaret's team here!
We have restructured the development office with Joycelyn Blizzard transitioning to Director of Development and Ashley Haydon supporting both admissions and development as our Advancement Coordinator. We welcome John Birney as our new Assistant Head of School for External Affairs. I am transitioning into the Director of Alumnae Relations role, and I look forward to connecting with you! Please do not hesitate to contact us anytime.
As we look ahead to the fall, we recognize there are traditionally in-person events that we'll need to be creative in planning virtual opportunities for. With that, you'll hear soon about what to expect for Golden Thistles and the annual Alumnae Association meeting. In addition, you'll be receiving information on how to join students in a few of our St. Margaret's traditions virtually! Save the date August 24 to join us virtually for Opening Chapel. The link to join this event will be shared with you soon. Early this fall, you'll also be receiving your copy of "Thistle: 2019-2020 Philanthropy Report and Year In Review."
We are opening applications for the Alumnae Association board and invite you to nominate someone, or nominate yourself, for the board. More information is included below, in addition to information on other Alumnae Association initiatives. We welcome your ideas for virtual connectedness. Please share these with our team!

We are grateful for your continued commitment to St. Margaret's, and we have an exciting year ahead as we enter our 100th year. Thank you for all you do for our sisterhood! Go Scotties!
