Special Edition, Mary Harrison '72

St. Margaret's began, as most enduring institutions do, with a simple idea - the idea that young girls deserve a quality education that equips them with the moral and spiritual foundation to carry them through their lives.  For 100 years, St. Margaret's School has laid the important foundations for our alumnae.  We are part of an Episcopal network of schools that was the dream of Bishop William Cabell Brown; and, in 1919, it became a priority for the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. And so it began.

At St. Margaret's School, we knew her as Mary Harrison, a member of the Class of 1972.  So when we heard of her passing this week, we were saddened.  But it came of no surprise to learn that she died holding the hands of her siblings and embraced in prayers and all the wonderful memories in the life of Mary Harrison.
