While academics and studying area priority at St. Margaret's, life outside the classroom is active and fun. Students are encouraged to join clubs, according to their interests, or try something new. Some organizations require an application and others are open to all. Extended lunches and other free time allows for meetings and practices. Students always have the option to start their own clubs with a faculty sponsor.
Art club is full of students who love art and create it during the academic day and after school.
If you like to read and discuss good books, this is the club for you. Book Club also performs public service such as organizing a drive for children's book donations that benefit area organizations.
Community Service Groups and Opportunities
At St. Margaret's, students learn to be contributing members of a community through our Basic Needs club that supports local organizations, and through many other volunteer activities. We offer community service opportunities as a part of afternoon activities, on the weekends, and during Minimester. Check out the school-wide service project created by our art students that welcomes visitors to Tappahannock with a Peace on Earth mural.
